What is Cornerstone?

Cornerstone is an opportunity to renew and strengthen your faith and at the same time grow in your experience of Christian community.

It is also a way to meet and interact with other people from the Christian community in a warm, welcoming environment on both a personal and spiritual level.

Who will be conducting Cornerstone?

A core team of women who were former Corner-stone participants will be hosting and leading Cornerstone 2001.

To enhance your Cornerstone experience, each team member will offer her abilities in various ways. Some team members will give talks on selected themes or lead small discussion groups. Others will plan liturgy and music. And still others will arrange for your meals and accommodations….. All of these dedicated to ensuring an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.

What can I expect Cornerstone to be like?

Cornerstone activities will begin on Friday evening, October 12th at 7:00pm. They will conclude on Saturday evening, October 13th at about 9:00pm.

Your overnight stay (optional but encouraged) will take place at Saint John's Parish Center. Great meals and plentiful snacks will be provided throughout your Cornerstone experience.

There will be talks of a personal (rather than theological) nature, followed by small group discussions. There will be time for quiet personal reflection, reconciliation and the Eucharist. And, of course, ample time to interact with others who are looking to grow spiritually.

What will be expected of me at Cornerstone?

The only expectation is that you will be open to the Holy Spirit as the Cornerstone experience unfolds There will be opportunities for you to actively participate in group discussions, but you may choose to remain "an observer". Either way, you will come away from Cornerstone with a deeper awareness of God in your life.

How do I register for Cornerstone?

A limited number of spaces are available and participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Participants should be at least 21 years old. A registration form is included below. You can print it out and mail it to us or you may put it in an envelope, mark it "Cornerstone" and drop it into the collection basket. A suggested offering of $45.00 will help us cover some of the costs of your meals, accommodations, and materials. Inability to make a donation will not exclude you from the program; please speak directly with Father George. For more information please contact:
